Sales and Business Development Lead

At PropheSea, we excel at creating value by developing custom predictive software. Our solutions help optimize and automate business processes by using state-of-the-art machine learning technology, or by solving physics-based equations. We guide our clients from proof of concept to production and are not satisfied until our software solution delivers significant value when used in production.


To accelerate our growth (especially for our product Foresight), we are looking for a Sales and Business Development Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and executing the entire sales cycle. This means identifying and contacting potential clients, translating their needs into opportunities, closing deals, and following up on their satisfaction.


You will represent us at fairs and industry events to showcase our solutions and enhance our network. You will also cultivate and maintain our (online) visibility through thoughtful marketing campaigns.


You have a key role at PropheSea. As such, we are looking for an individual who meets the following: 


  • You actively prospect and identify new opportunities within the market. 
  • Utilizing consultative selling techniques and your passion for the industry, you effectively convert customer needs into profitable business prospects.
  • Through a structured approach to outreach and diligent follow-up, you successfully acquire new clients and foster long-term partnerships. 
  • You monitor and analyze market trends, providing valuable feedback towards software development.


  • You have commercial experience in a B2B context
  • You understand the various stages of the entire sales cycle and can engage with various clients at the different stages of the cycle 
  • You are capable of understanding and explaining the general concepts behind predictive models (both data-driven and physics-based modeling). 
  • Affinity with the energy (electricity and gas) market, electrical engineering and renewable energy is considered a great advantage. 


  • You have a can-do mentality and love making a difference
  • You have a genuine interest in software development, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling.
  • You have high ethical standards  
  • You have excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, English and German 
  • You are able to work independently but are also a true team player.
